9 The aches are creeping in

With the bustle of busier towns creeping back into the route, discomfort arrives. The wrist ache that vanished somewhere before Fish Hill is back as we drop down into Witney. My lower back feels a little tight, and my knees enjoy a stretch at the traffic lights. But it’s not bad after more than four continuous hours in the saddle.
