Cracking Cumbrian loop, 65 miles
This great ride starts and ends in Newby Bridge, Cumbria and takes a winding route up the east side of Lake Windermere then over Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, followed by a quick blast down the coast and back inland to the start. Around 65 miles so it is long enough to really escape but short enough not to take a whole day.
Southern stunner, 40 miles
Take the A339 out of Basingstoke, down towards Alton., watching for agricultural traffic. Then take the A31 and A32 until you get to Loomies. At Wickham continue down through Boarhunt until Portsdown Hill Road. Admire the views out over the sea, then pull into the car park that’s another biker hangout.
