Triumph’s new Bonnie specials
‘Ace’ and ‘60th’ revealed
Triumph’s biggest-selling Thruxton special edition ever was the ‘Ace’, so it’s no great surprise the British marque have rekindled their relationship with the London café to create a special edition T120 Bonneville for 2019 bearing its name and badging.
The Bonneville T120 Ace is distinguished by its mean and moody Storm Grey paintjob and the comprehensive ‘blackness’ of its four-bar tank badges, wheel rims, intake covers, engine cases and even exhausts. So much so that it’s a rolling, matter-absorbing, black hole. It wouldn’t be complete without some branding, though – which comes in the form of the Ace Cafe side cover decals, and one on the tank that says ‘Head down, Hold on’. 1400 will be built, all accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Triumph and the Ace. The Ace will be joined in 2019 by a 60th anniversary special Bonneville ‘Diamond Edition’. Just like the Ace, it’s a completely stock T120 which has been dressed differently with a one-off white and silver union flag paintjob and chrome four-bar tank badge, engine covers, chain guard, rims, grab rail, exhausts and badging. 900 will be built, again accompanied by a certificate of authenticity singed by Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor.
Prices aren’t confirmed, but we believe both will be sub-£11,000.
