1 Get your tech­nique right first

Trac­tion con­trol won’t save you if your cor­ner en­try/exit tech­nique is wrong. Bang the throt­tle on with too much lean and too lit­tle grip the rear tyre will still let go. Use V-lines and stand the bike up be­fore ac­cel­er­at­ing hard.

2 Set the level high

Most sports­bikes have multi-stage TC so set it at an overly in­tru­sive level on your first ses­sion so that you can get used to bump­ing up against its soft elec­tronic wall as you exit cor­ners.
