Beautiful bobber

Royal Enfield unveil V-twin Concept KX

Royal Enfield stunned with this Milan showstopper, their Concept KX bobber; a re-imagining of a 1930s model. The original KX was an air-cooled sidevalve V-twin with 1140cc displacement, while the new bike’s engine appears to be a little bit smaller if the ‘838’ engine badge is anything to go by. The girder fork with integrated headlight is supremely elegant, while the pancake style exhaust, single seat unit and flat tank also faithfully modernise the original, and Enfield’s job of hiding all the electronics is a masterstoke. In what is believed to be a first, the Concept KX is also has a singlesided swingarm softail rear-end. Enfield say that the KX is not destined for production but there are far too many resolved details for us to believe that’s really true.

Go on Enfield, you know you want to release the KX
