‘A band is a fan­tas­tic train­ing tool you can use any­where,’ says McPhillips. ‘If there’s ten­sion on the band, there’s ten­sion on the mus­cle, and you can do al­most ev­ery dumb­bell move you can think of with them so they’re highly ver­sa­tile.’ Do each move for the pre­scribed sets and reps, then move on to the next. The work­out should take no more than 20 min­utes.
