Hold a medicine ball in both hands and stand with feet shoul­der--width apart. Raise the ball high, ris­ing onto the balls of your feet, then con­trac­tact your core as you pow­er­fully slam the ball into thethe floor in front of you. Catch the ball as it bounces­bounces up and con­tinue into the next rep.

This iso­met­ric ex­er­cise works all the mus­cles of your front ab­dom­i­nal wall. Lie on your back and raise your arms, head, up­per back and legs off the floor. Con­tract your abs to hold this po­si­tion. If you can’t hold it for the re­quired time, do it in chunks with five sec­onds’ rest be­tween each.
