WORSHIP & TRIBUTE

Oathbreaker might be going quiet, but some of their members will still be active in the Church Of Ra. Here’s your handy guide to how it works

WHAT IS THE CHURCH OF RA?

Established by Oathbreaker’s countrymen, Amenra, it’s a collective of like-minded musicians who share the same DIY and creative principles. Oathbreaker guitarist Lennart Bossu has been in Amenra since 2008. Members of the Church Of Ra have collaborated on music, performed together at shows and produced art.

WHO’S IN IT?

Artists who have performed and/or written music under the Church Of Ra umbrella include: The Black Heart Rebellion, Treha Sektori, Kingdom, Syndrome, Hessian, Sembler Deah, CH VE, Harlowe, and Wiegedood (featuring Oathbreaker guitarist Gilles Demolder and drummer Wim Coppers). Many of the bands feature members of Amenra itself.

WHY SHOULD I CARE?

With Amenra returning to action after the release of October’s Mass VI album, it’s likely we can expect the Church to be particularly active in 2018…
