6,000 trips to the pub in av­er­age Brit’s life­time

THIRSTY Brits will visit the pub more than 6,000 times dur­ing their life­time, a study finds.

Lager drinkers will sink an av­er­age of 7,786 pints, while oth­ers will down 6,499 pints of real ale or 6,131 pints of cider.

They will mop up the booze by munch­ing their way through 5,579 bags of crisps and 3,433 pack­ets of pork scratch­ings.

They will at­tend 696 pub quizzes and get four out of ten ques­tions cor­rect. But one in five drinkers will never buy a round.

‘Our re­search high­lights just how im­por­tant pubs are,’ said the Li­censed Trade Char­ity, which car­ried out a sur­vey that found four in ten peo­ple have been lost with­out their lo­cal in lock­down.
