6,000 trips to the pub in average Brit’s lifetime
THIRSTY Brits will visit the pub more than 6,000 times during their lifetime, a study finds.
Lager drinkers will sink an average of 7,786 pints, while others will down 6,499 pints of real ale or 6,131 pints of cider.
They will mop up the booze by munching their way through 5,579 bags of crisps and 3,433 packets of pork scratchings.
They will attend 696 pub quizzes and get four out of ten questions correct. But one in five drinkers will never buy a round.
‘Our research highlights just how important pubs are,’ said the Licensed Trade Charity, which carried out a survey that found four in ten people have been lost without their local in lockdown.
