An­other great week­end for lead­ing cy­clists

MID­DLES­BROUGH-BASED EDCO Con­ti­nen­tal DriverPlan cycling team had an­other sen­sa­tional week­end with back-to-back race wins in the North-east.

First up was Dar­ling­ton-based rider Alana Prior, who won a sprint fin­ish at Round 3 of the Velo Win­ter Se­ries at Croft, with fel­low rider Marie Lynn also in the points in sixth place.

Sun­day saw Anna Kay cross the line first for a sec­ond week­end in a row at the CXNE cy­clo cross race in Bedling­ton.

The team now head to Manch­ester to com­pete at the Na­tional Track Cham­pi­onships.

Stock­ton-based Brother NRG DriverPlan cycling team reg­is­tered win num­ber five of the sea­son with vic­tory at Round 3 of the Velo 29 Win­ter Se­ries.

Good team­work from the Elite rid­ers in the team grad­u­ally brought the race to­gether with two laps to go.

In a large bunch sprint, Alex Luhrs took the win with top ten fin­ishes for Will Cor­bett, Aaron Pre­ston, Richie Allen and Jack Rees.

Con­fi­dence is high as they head to the na­tional track cham­pi­onships in Manch­ester.
