Another great weekend for leading cyclists
MIDDLESBROUGH-BASED EDCO Continental DriverPlan cycling team had another sensational weekend with back-to-back race wins in the North-east.
First up was Darlington-based rider Alana Prior, who won a sprint finish at Round 3 of the Velo Winter Series at Croft, with fellow rider Marie Lynn also in the points in sixth place.
Sunday saw Anna Kay cross the line first for a second weekend in a row at the CXNE cyclo cross race in Bedlington.
The team now head to Manchester to compete at the National Track Championships.
Stockton-based Brother NRG DriverPlan cycling team registered win number five of the season with victory at Round 3 of the Velo 29 Winter Series.
Good teamwork from the Elite riders in the team gradually brought the race together with two laps to go.
In a large bunch sprint, Alex Luhrs took the win with top ten finishes for Will Corbett, Aaron Preston, Richie Allen and Jack Rees.
Confidence is high as they head to the national track championships in Manchester.
