PUPS that need dogsit­ting while their own­ers are away could soon have the chance to play with friends and be pam­pered at a new doggy day­care cen­tre.

Yappy Days Day­care Cen­tre, in Stock­ton, is set to be burst­ing with dogfriendly toys and play ar­eas in­clud­ing tun­nels and ball pits that your beloved pet can en­joy .

The cen­tre, on Bowes­field Cres­cent, can cater for up to 30 dogs at a time and is manned by ex­pe­ri­enced staff. Set up by Jess and Ray Spashett, the cen­tre will pro­vide a safe en­vi­ron­ment for your four-legged friend to play and re­lax.

Ray said: “We are hop­ing to be open very soon, just wait­ing for all of the plan­ning to go through hope­fully.

“This has been a dream of ours for a few years now.

“It started off as Yarm Dog Walk­ers, a lit­tle busi­ness ran by my wife, and so this was just a nat­u­ral pro­gres­sion.”

Dog own­ers who need to use the ser­vices of the cen­tre will be able to drop off their pets for a half or full day.

Staff can also pick up dogs from their own homes if needs be with a drop-off and col­lec­tion ser­vice.

If all goes to plan, the cen­tre will be open Mon­day to Satur­day.
