Pride set to make its return

GAY Pride is set to make a comeback to Teesside for the first time in four years.

The town last filled with colour and sound to celebrate Teesside’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community back in 2014.

Now, organisers are looking to relaunch the event in 2018, bigger and better than before.

All are invited to attend Tees Valley Community Pride’s first committee meeting on July 27, at 7pm, in the Spencer Room at Middlesbrough Town Hall.

Organiser Dave Smith, 28, from Middlesbrough, said: “Whether you have experience of organising a Pride or not, we want all of the community to get involved.”

It is hoped that Pride will return in 2018.
