Two-wheel fun for the family

AFTER three days of thrills, there was a stunning finale to the Stockton Cycling Festival at the weekend.

The Family Festival Day brought things to a close with the Stockton Grand Prix taking top billing.

The UK’s best cycling teams and riders arrived in style to compete in the elite road race, starting and finishing on Stockton’s Riverside.

RideStockton also returned, offering a fun, family cycle ride open to everyone of all ages and abilities and completely free to enter.

It offered an opportunity for cyclists of all abilities to experience the freedom of cycling on traffic-free roads.

Children as young as three joined disabled cyclists riding specially adapted bikes – and even Stockton South MP Paul Williams.
