The town’s a stage

Middlesbrough Herald & Post - - HERALD & POST -

THERE was something for everyone as a new music and comedy festival took over Stockton.

Stockton Stages brought three days of national and local entertainment to the streets.

And while the weather didn’t always play along - heavy rain hit the town on Saturday - the first festival of its kind was a success with crowds.

Headlined by music and comedy acts from the likes of Russell Kane, The Sherlocks and Eliza and The Bear across ARC, The Georgian Theatre, Ku Bar and The Storytellers, Stockton Stages also played host to some free town centre events including mass karaoke, a family comedy stage, a peculiar town centre walk, a records fair - and the premier of Mike McGrother’s Community Pub Opera – Of Rogues and of Honest Men.

The show featured a unique twist - you not only got an evening of entertainment, but the chance to buy items from the set.
