REVELLERS hit the beach as one of the summer’s biggest parties came to Redcar.

The seven-hour spectacular Clubland on the Beach began at 4pm on Friday and saw dance fans from across the country flock to the Teesside coast to enjoy some of the industry’s biggest names.

Favourites including Alice Deejay – the Dutch pop-trance team behind such late-90s anthems as Better Off Alone and Back In My Life – have been joined by the likes of Darren Styles, Ultrabeat and Ian Van Dahl to sparkle on the sands.

And the music continued on Saturday, marking the 10th birthday of the Kiddstock Beach Festival.

There were three different arenas for Clubland on the Beach – the main stage (on the beach, appropriately enough), Clubland Xtreme and Gorilla.

Spokesman Jack Hart said: “It’s amazing to have the opportunity to bring one of the UK’s biggest dance brands, Clubland, to Redcar. Having already successfully organised three beach festivals on Majuba Beach, myself and the team are really looking forward to stepping things up with Clubland On The Beach.”
