A STUNNING floral tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Arena bombing has been created in Jubilee Park.

Rochdale Borough Council’s environmental management planted a floral arrangement in the shape of the iconic Manchester worker bee, which has come to be a defining symbol of strength following the atrocity.

They previously created one in Rochdale, but decided to plant another one after residents in Middleton expressed a desire to have their own tribute to those who died.

Councillor Neil Emmott, the council’s cabinet member for housing and environment, said: “This is a fitting tribute to those innocent lives lost in the atrocities at Manchester Arena. Our floral display of Manchester’s worker bee is a small tribute to show that we as a borough stand in solidarity with Manchester and echo the spirit shown in the aftermath of this terrible event.”
