MIDDLETON Shopping Centre is hosting a hoola hooping workshop this Friday.

The event is one of a number of activity sessions which have been taking place there during the school summer holidays.

Lynette Howgate, centre manager, said: “So far, we have enjoyed Chris Topper’s Three Little Pigs Puppet Show and ‘Wish You Were Here’ holiday craft workshops.

“This Friday we look forward to ‘Get Up, Get Active’ sessions as hula hooper Angie Mack, with a stack of colourful hoops and funky tunes, demonstrates the art of hula hooping.

“Angie will make sure that the kids get involved and will get them up and moving those hips!”

Shows will take place at 11.30am and 2.30pm while at 1pm, children will be invited to get up and hoola hoop with Angie.

The centre is planning two more Friday sessions, including magic shows with the Amazing Stephen on Friday, August 25 and the return of the ‘creative station’ on Friday, September 1.
