Transfer market not the answer

Middleton Guardian - - SPORT -

DOWN to the bare bones he may be – but Keith Hill will stick with his principles and avoid pressing the panic button ahead of the transfer window closing shut this week.

Injuries and illness have decimated the squad with the season still in its infancy.

But Dale boss Hill does not believe in throwing money at problems and the present problems he’s faced with are no exception.

‘I am happy to go with these players regardless of how desperate it gets’

“I believe in this squad of players and I am happy to go with this squad of players regardless of how desperate it could be as the transfer window closes,” he said.

“I don’t think the chequebook is the answer, I think we have the answer in the players, whether it’s Aaron Morley, whether it’s Matty Gillam, Dan Adshead.

“I’m a firm believer in giving players opportunities, as long as they have the commitment, desire, determination and winning application.

“They showed that against Bury but we were just missing one or two opportunities in the second half.”
