Expenses fiddle MP in court
A FORMER Labour MP who claimed for dry rot treatment on a home 100 miles from her constituency – as well as claiming for properties in London and Luton – will be charged with fiddling her expenses by more than £60,000.
Margaret Moran, (above) one of the last politicians investigated over the scandal, will appear before magistrates, facing 21 charges relating to her parliamentary claims.
Criminal investigations centre on claims for properties in London, Luton and Southampton over a four-year period.
Moran, who was MP for Luton South, will appear before City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 19 after the case had been held up due to her her ill health.
