Silly burger drives thru Mcdonald’s shopfront
A McDONALD’S customer was in jail last night after making his own drive-thru — by smashing his CAR through a restaurant’s glass doors.
Hungry Peter Andrews, 41, flew into a McFury when he was refused service at the burger bar late at night.
A court heard drunken Andrews told McDonalds staff: “You’d better move yourself, I’m coming in.
“Even if I’ve got to ram these doors down, I’m coming in. I’m getting served whether you like it or not.”
Andrews then repeatedly reversed at full speed into the busy restaurant, sending staff and customers diving for cover from glass and masonry.
Police were called and Andrews was found to be well over the drink-drive limit.
The restaurant in Port Talbot, South Wales, suffered £17,500 in damage and trade when it had to close for four days for repairs.
Swansea Crown Court heard builder Andrews had drunk up to eight pints of lager at the funeral of a close friend on the night of the raid.
Andrews, of Port Talbot, was jailed for eight months after admitting dangerous driving and drink driving.
He has now been banned from all the UK’s 1,250 McDonald’s.
