Dogs mistreated by prison guard
A PRISON warder faces jail after a court heard she kept a staggering SIXTY collie dogs in appalling conditions.
Amanda Hammond kept cons at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes under lock and key by day but returned home at night to scenes of shocking filth and degradation.
The 66-year-old’s five bedroom home, which has no running water or electricity, was found caked in dog excrement leaving the floors “spongy and wet” underfoot.
Hammond’s dog hellhole was only discovered when several of her collie dogs escaped and killed sheep in a nearby field.
At magistrates’ court in Aylesbury she admitted ill-treating dogs and will be sentenced in October.
