Killer pile-up driver jailed
A ROMANIAN lorry driver who crashed into a line of cars, killing a dad-ofthree, has been jailed.
Ionel Bordieanu, 43, smashed into queuing traffic on a junction of the M25, killing 39-year-old Matthew Barker instantly.
Mr Barker’s Ford Focus was thrown into a Land Rover in front of him, flipping it into the air.
Its 24-year-old female driver was trapped under the 4x4 Freelander and suffered extensive injuries to her arm.
Bordieanu’s articulated lorry smashed into the back of the morning rush-hour queue at the busy M25 junction just north of Watford, Herts, damaging nine cars and causing other injuries on April 19.
Bordieanu was jailed for three years and four months and banned from driving for five years at St Albans Crown Court.
