Jo parents face killer

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

THE PARENTS of Joanna Yeates have come face to face for the first with their daughter’s killer.

David and Teresa Yeates were at a pre-trial hearing for Vincent Tabak, a Dutch engineer who has admitted the manslaughter of 25year-old Miss Yeates but denies her murder.

Greying Tabak, 33, was escorted into the dock of Bristol Crown Court by four guards.

Miss Yeates’ mother occasionally looked from the public gallery towards Tabak, who sat hunched in the dock and spoke only to confirm his name.

The charge states that Tabak “unlawfully killed” Miss Yeates between December 16 and December 19.

The case was adjourned until the October 4 trial.
