PICK WEEK OF THE WEDNESDAY

Midweek Sport - - TV GUIDE -

IF you set your new comedy in a student house share, you’re asking for it to be compared to The Young Ones. And there’s not many TV shows that can live up to that pressure.

But there are two very good reasons why new Channel 4 comedy drama Fresh Meat might just make it.

The first is it’s written by the blokes who gave us Peep Show, and the second is it stars the very fit Emma Rigby (right). It’s pretty bloody good too.

A group of students move in together in a grotty student house and go on to get drunk together, have sex together, throw up together and generally just indulge in the general f*ckwittery that comes from living away from home for the first time.

Like Peep Show, it holds a mirror up to every day situations in all their excruciating and embarrassing detail.

And, like Peep Show, it’ll have you pissing pants.
