Chopper looks okay to Adam

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

SOUTHAMPTON winger Adam Lallana doesn’t care if his reward for his fourth goal of the season is being dropped for tonight’s clash against Preston.

Lallana scored the third goal in Saints’ 4-1 mauling of Birmingham on Sunday – but he is ready for boss Nigel Adkins to name a second string side against Phil Brown’s men.

Lallana said: “We could play a different team if the manager wanted to.

“That shows the strength in depth that we have, so it’s great.”

Preston are on a sixgame winning run and boss Brown said: “Now the hardest thing is to make it seven – and that is a big ask given we have Southampton next.”
