Jilted hubby ‘mur­dered’ wife’s lover over af­fair

A JEAL­OUS hus­band stabbed his wife’s lover to death af­ter the ri­val re­fused to end the af­fair, a court heard.

The man fol­lowed his wife’s new fella from a party to con­front him and de­mand he stop the re­la­tion­ship.

And as the pair strug­gled, a knife was pulled out be­fore the hus­band stabbed his ri­val in the chest, leg and back as he dived into a nearby taxi, Read­ing Crown Court heard.

The in­jured man, Omobo­laji Adi­gun, 41, asked the driver to take him to a po­lice sta­tion but died from his in­juries on the way.

Ed­ding­ton Chig­ora, 44, claimed Adi­gun had pulled a 25cm kitchen knife af­ter first say­ing he would not stop sleep­ing with Chig­ora’s wife, Dorothy Ha­parimwi, at any cost.

Chig­ora, who suf­fered wounds to his hands, said the in­juries were caused in self-de­fence as he pro­tected him­self.

He mar­ried Miss Ha­parimwi in Zim­babwe in 1995 and they ar­rived in the UK in 2002.

Miss Ha­parimwi told the court she had never been happy in their re­la­tion­ship.
