Clunes ‘no’ to behaving badly again

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

BIG-EARED actor Martin Clunes has put the block on plans to bring back sitcom Men Behaving Badly – because he thinks it would be ‘seedy’.

The 49-year-old current star of Doc Martin ( above) made his name playing Gary alongside Neil Morrisey’s Tony in the 1990s show about two blokes sharing a flat in London.

The comedy ran for six series, finishing in 1998, and also stared Caroline Quentin and Leslie Ash.

But Clunes says there’s no way he would play the part again because he’s too old to make it work.

He said: “I think it might be a bit seedy – sad people in their 50s with the thinking of teenagers.

“It would be hard to do people’s memories justice.

“And you know, the others haven'’t aged as well as me!” Yes, I’ve tried most things once. There’s no point in being a prude and you don’t know what you’ll like until you try it.
