‘Eat chocs and s**g’ physio is struck off

A PHYSIOTHERAPIST who told a colleague to go home, “eat chocolate and have a s**g” has been struck off.

Robyn Wilkinson made the insensitive comment to a sobbing hospital worker on a ward during visiting time at her hospital.

It was one of many “unprofessional and wilful” incidents, the Health Professions Council heard.

Wilkinson, who did not attend the hearing, was found guilty of misconduct in relation to a string of charges while working as a team leader at Milton Keynes Hospital Acute Stroke Unit.

She has since started a new career and claimed her behaviour was sparked by stress.

The panel heard how she taunted a locum physio in 2009, asking her what was wrong when she saw her crying.

When the woman told her she didn’t want to talk about it, Wilkinson asked her if she was pregnant, had miscarried or whether her mum had died.

She then told her to go home “have some chocolate and a shag.”

Of 28 allegations of misconduct between against Wilkinson, of Milton Keynes, 15 were found proved. Her fitness to practise was found to be impaired and she was struck off.
