End for Final Destination ad
A POSTER for a horror film showing a skull being shattered by steel rods through its eye sockets has been banned for terrifying children. The advert for
featured on the sides of buses and the London Underground, warning viewers, “IT’S NOT IF, IT’S WHEN”.
Complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority included parents saying it had upset their young kids.
Warner Bros argued that the poster accurately reflected the content of the film without causing excessive fear or distress and did not feature blood.
But the ASA upheld the complaints and banned the ad, saying: “It was likely to cause fear and undue distress to children.”
