Spray what you like, the gadget’s safe

BOFFINS have invented a new spray that promises to waterproof any gadget, including ipads, smartphones and laptops.

The Neverwet coating, which is said to use ‘superhydrophobic nano technology’, means your favourite bit of kit will still work even if you drop it down the toilet or accidentally fall into a canal while drunk.

And the makers say touchscreens will work even when the electrical item is completely submerged under water!

A spokesman for Neverwet said: “Any object coated literally cannot be touched by liquid.

“Any liquid placed on this coating is repelled and simply rolls off without touching the underlying surface.”

The coating is due to be released next year, at a to-be-confirmed cost.
