Child cam­paigner Sara col­lapses

THE mother of mur­dered school­girl Sarah Payne has been rushed to hos­pi­tal af­ter she “col­lapsed in agony” at home, ac­cord­ing to a fam­ily friend.

Child pro­tec­tion cam­paigner Sara Payne, from Sur­rey, suf­fered a life-threat­en­ing stroke in De­cem­ber 2009.

Close friend Shy Keenan said: “I was with her when it hap­pened and called 999. Although we don’t know what’s wrong yet, she’s in the very best hands and needs us to keep her in our thoughts.”

Her daugh­ter was mur­dered by Roy Whit­ing in West Sus­sex in 2000.

Ms Payne also had an op­er­a­tion to cure a rup­tured aneurysm in 2008.
