Name shame secret of Newsnight’s Kirsty

Midweek Sport - - TV GUIDE -

NEWSNIGHT host Kirsty Wark says her memory is so bad she always has the name of the person she’s interviewing written on a card in front of her.

And the BBC2 star admits she needs her prompts – even if she’s quizzing Prime Minsiter David Cameron.

The Glasgow journalist, 56, said: “If I didn’t master the detail I’d be terrified. If I’m interviewing the Prime Minister, I still have his name in front of me, just in case.

“I have to, I would be scared sh*tless otherwise.”

The Celebrity Masterchef contestant also hit back at claims she chooses inappropriate skirts, saying: “I wear knee-length dresses – they can ride up.”
