KHAN REMATCH THREAT
AMIR KHAN faces being left in the wilderness after Lamont Peterson insisted he wouldn’t be “bullied” into arematch.
Peterson, 27, is a free agent after snatching the Bolton boxer’s IBF and WBA light-welterweight title and has been offered £1million for a May 19 rematch in Los Angeles.
And his manager and trainer, Barry Hunter, warned: “I’m not going to let nobody bully us. I’ve got to do what’s best and right for Lamont.”
Peterson is also weighing up WBC title holder Timothy Bradley, a fight that could leave Khan in the cold.
Hunter added: “Lamont said it best – a rematch has to make business sense. Bradley is out there too.”
