MICK MCCARTHY is lining up a £2million bid for Wigan hardman Mohamed Diame in the January sales.
Wolves boss Mccarthy will take on Stoke in a battle to snatch the Senegal international.
Diame, 24, is out of contract in the summer and has been in negotiations with Wigan over an extension for months.
