Tim says Auf Wieder­se­hen to his li­cence

AC­TOR Tim Healy has been fined and hit with a driv­ing ban af­ter ad­mit­ting do­ing more than TWICE the speed limit.

The 59-year-old, who starred in Auf Wieder­se­hen Pet and Benidorm, was caught in his Jaguar XKR do­ing 61mph through a 30mph zone on the A68 near Crook, Co Durham, on May 14.

He re­ceived a seven day ban af­ter ad­mit­ting the of­fence at Newton Ay­cliffe Mag­is­trates’ Court.

Healy, from Stocks­field, Northum­ber­land, was also given a £500 fine with £100 costs.

The TV star, who is mar­ried to Loose Women pre­sen­ter Denise Welch, hit the head­lines ear­lier this year for de­fend­ing his wife af­ter she got a scathing re­view from Danc­ing On Ice judge Ja­son Gar­diner.

The ac­tor, orig­i­nally from Ben­well in New­cas­tle, con­fronted Gard­ner live on the show af­ter he was un­flat­ter­ing about her per­for­mance.
