MATT JARVIS is on a mission to gatecrash Fabio Capello’s Euro 2012 squad and prove he’s no one-cap wonder.

Wolves winger Jarvis is eyeing a return to the England set-up after a frustrating nine months at Molineux.

Jarvis earned his first cap under Capello in the friendly with Ghana in March, appearing as a second-half substitute.

But the 25-year-old hasn’t been selected since – after suffering a loss of form and rival teams setting out to stop him.

But Jarvis has impressed over the last four games and is determined to give Capello a timely nudge in the ribs.

Honour

He said: “That’s the aim – I want to be playing for my country so I want more.

“It was a fantastic honour to play the last 25 minutes and I’m working extremely hard to get back in the squad.

“There are fantastic players in my position so it will be tough, but I am working extremely hard to get a sniff.

“The manager and I spoke and decided to go back to doing what I do best – which is getting the ball wide, one-on-one against the full-back and supplying crosses.

“It was a question of making things simple. It’s been nice to get out there, play with no fear and have some joy.”
