Concordia body search stopped
DIVERS have abandoned their search for bodies inside the wrecked cruise ship Costa Concordia after underwater conditions deteriorated.
A spokesman for the fire brigade on the island said: “We have definitively stopped the underwater search inside the ship.”
There are still 15 people missing after the ship ran aground off the Italian coast on Jan 13 – with the loss of 17 lives.
Work to recover the capsized vessel may take 10 months.
