£65k FORD ESCORT GOOD RUNNER

Midweek Sport - - NEWS -

IF you’re a petrol head and you have a cool £65,000 burning a hole in your back pocket you could buy a 2005 Ferrari F430…or a FORD ESCORT!

But this is no ordinary Ford Escort.

This original 1968 Mk I model is one of only 883 hand built and fitted with a Lotus twin cam engine.

It cost just £2,919 back in 1968 but is now worth a staggering £65k thanks to one man’s handiwork.

The rusty shell of the motor had to be lifted onto a trailer when Norman Hughes bought it – with the rest of its engine and body parts packed away in boxes. Norman, who runs Cleevewood Garages in Bristol, said: “It sounds like a lot of money but I know how much time and cash has been put into the vehicle.

“I’d say it is now better than new because of the lengths we have gone to in order to get it right.” NOW you can see NAKED Honeysuckle in her full moving glory – for FREE!

If you’ve got an iphone or a smartphone simply download a QR reader from the app store or Android market and then point it at the code on the right, here.

It’ll take you straight to the video and it won’t cost you a penny.

Enjoy!
