SPURS boss Harry Redknapp last night left himself open to accusations he is basing his tax-dodge defence on INSANITY after he signed Louis Saha from Everton.
Redknapp, currently on trial for tax evasion from when he was at Portsmouth, has snapped up the striker on an 18-month deal.
It is a surprise move from the title-chasers as Saha was surplus to requirements at Goodison Park even before the arrival of Nikica Jelavic from Rangers. Saha was unlikely to be offered another contract this summer and would have been available on a free.
Bayer Leverkusen will decide in the summer whether to take Vedran Corluka on a permanent transfer.
The German side signed the 25-year-old on loan from Spurs until the end of the season and have an option to trigger a deal.
