Sin bin pair cited
RUGBY UNION
WALES lock Bradley Davies and Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris have both been cited for foul play during Sunday’s Six Nations clash between the sides in Dublin.
The citings were made by the match commissioner, Italian Achille Reali.
Davies was sent to the sin bin for a reckless tip-tackle on Ireland replacement Donnacha Ryan, while Ferris
was given the same punishment for his tackle on Davies’ second-row partner Ian Evans.
Ferris’s yellow card in the last minute of the game proved costly as full-back Leigh Halfpenny kicked the resulting penalty to snatch a 23-21 win for Wales.
