Speeding star Nick is banned
PREMIER League footy ace Nicklas Bendtner has been banned from driving and fined after speeding in his Porsche.
The Sunderland striker is forbidden from getting behind the wheel for 56 days after he was spotted driving at 103mph in a 70mph zone.
Bendtner, 24, was not present at Newcastle Magistrates Court as he is currently in Denmark.
The court heard how he was clocked by police on December 10, 2011.
Through a representative the striker – who is on season-long loan from Arsenal – pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding.
Bendtner, of Darras Hall, Ponteland, was fined a total of £705.
He must surrender his licence but will not receive any penalty points.
