Face­book ‘buzz’ over bus at­tack

A TEENAGER bragged on Face­book that he “got a buzz” from the sound of blood spat­ter­ing on a bus win­dow as he sav­agely at­tacked a pen­sioner.

Daniel Blyth, aged 18, punched and head­but­ted his 71-year-old vic­tim in a “re­lent­less” and un­pro­voked at­tack, mag­is­trates in Bolton, Greater Manch­ester, heard.

He ad­mit­ted as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm and crim­i­nal dam­age and was re­manded for sen­tenc­ing on March 19.

The court heard that Blyth, of no fixed ad­dress, launched a “re­lent­less” at­tack on the el­derly man who had got off the bus af­ter the ve­hi­cle was hit by a bot­tle, and that he was re­lent­lessly at­tacked while on the ground.

The vic­tim needed stitches to his face and suf­fered a frac­tured fin­ger and a shoul­der in­jury.
