Facebook ‘buzz’ over bus attack
A TEENAGER bragged on Facebook that he “got a buzz” from the sound of blood spattering on a bus window as he savagely attacked a pensioner.
Daniel Blyth, aged 18, punched and headbutted his 71-year-old victim in a “relentless” and unprovoked attack, magistrates in Bolton, Greater Manchester, heard.
He admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage and was remanded for sentencing on March 19.
The court heard that Blyth, of no fixed address, launched a “relentless” attack on the elderly man who had got off the bus after the vehicle was hit by a bottle, and that he was relentlessly attacked while on the ground.
The victim needed stitches to his face and suffered a fractured finger and a shoulder injury.
