Cops parked ‘illegally’ to pick up pasty
HUNGRY coppers were snapped parking their patrol car illegally – as they went to buy a PASTY for lunch.
Two officers are now being investigated after they were photographed nipping into eaterie, Ye Olde Pasty Shoppe.
Parking is prohibited outside the shop and the council has deployed its CCTV spy car in recent months to crackdown on wrongly parked cars.
The police pair were observed by an onlooker stopping in the road before going into the shop.
The man – who took a picture of the car outside the shop in Bolton, Greater Manchester– said they returned about a minute later with one of them carrying a small bag.
Supt Stephen Nibloe of Bolton Police said: “We are examining the circumstances surrounding this case.”
