Traveller pair peed on police
TWO men who urinated at police during the clearance of an illegal travellers’ site have been given community punishments.
Robert Mack, 24, who lives in student lodgings in Southwark, south-east London, and Aiden Duffield, 29, of east London, were both arrested during the clearance of Dale Farm in October.
Essex Police said both men urinated from the scaffold gantry erected by protesters at the main entrance to the six acre site in Crays Hill, Essex.
A spokesman added: “Urine from Mack hit a police constable.”
Mack was ordered to complete 160 hours of unpaid work and pay costs and compo totalling £650 after he admitted assaulting a police officer.
Duffield admitted a public order offence and was ordered to do 120 hours unpaid work and pay £450 by Southend magistrates.
