Trav­eller pair peed on po­lice

TWO men who uri­nated at po­lice dur­ing the clear­ance of an il­le­gal trav­ellers’ site have been given com­mu­nity pun­ish­ments.

Robert Mack, 24, who lives in stu­dent lodg­ings in South­wark, south-east London, and Ai­den Duffield, 29, of east London, were both ar­rested dur­ing the clear­ance of Dale Farm in Oc­to­ber.

Es­sex Po­lice said both men uri­nated from the scaf­fold gantry erected by pro­test­ers at the main en­trance to the six acre site in Crays Hill, Es­sex.

A spokesman added: “Urine from Mack hit a po­lice con­sta­ble.”

Mack was or­dered to com­plete 160 hours of un­paid work and pay costs and compo to­talling £650 af­ter he ad­mit­ted as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer.

Duffield ad­mit­ted a public or­der of­fence and was or­dered to do 120 hours un­paid work and pay £450 by Southend mag­is­trates.
