Hitler death cert’s value is relative!
THE death certificate of Adolf Hitler and his lover Eva Braun – who killed themselves at the end of the war – has emerged for sale.
The copy is from 1993 but is rare as such certificates are only issued to relatives of the deceased.
This suggests that a relative of Hitler or Braun applied for the joint certificate which was then issued by the German authorities.
It has turned up for sale at an auction house in Shropshire and is expected to fetch over £400.
The certificate records the date of death as April 30, 1945, and even gives the hour as 3.30pm. It is being sold by Mullock’s auctions in Ludlow, Shropshire, on March 8.
Richard WestwoodBrookes, from the saleroom, said: “This is a joint death certificate of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun.
“We’re told it is only possible to obtain a copy of this document in person and only if you can prove that you are a living relative.
“It begs the question who it was issued to.”
