‘TIRED’ VIC BACKS ROB DUMP CALL

Midweek Sport - - THURSDAY MARCH 8 -

VICTOR MOSES has backed Roberto Martinez’s decision to drop him – even though it sparked a massive row with owner Dave Whelan.

Whelan slammed Martinez’s tactics and selection after the Latics’ 2-0 home loss to Swansea left them bottom of the table.

He questioned why Moses Mohamed Diame and Hugo Rodallega started on the bench.

But Moses has revealed he was tired after international duty and believes Martinez made the right call.

He said: “It’s never nice when you’re not playing, but it’s the manager’s decision and I was feeling tired.

“I’d done a lot of travelling. It’s hard to be fully focused on the game, so I understood the decision.”
