Snake shocked Surrey binmen
BINMEN were shocked when they found a lethal six-foot-long BOA CONSTRICTOR while doing their rounds.
The workers were picking up rubbish in Ottershaw, Surrey, last Friday when they spotted the snake slithering out of a bin bag which had been dumped in a car park.
The binmen reported the snake to bosses who called a local pet shop to send a worker to catch the slippery customer.
According to the street cleaners the snake – which wraps itself round its prey and chokes it to death – had been dumped in a bin bag, but had escaped and was ‘suffering from the cold’.
Council bin boss Dave Stedman said: “The snake has warmed up and eaten and she is now making a good recovery.”
