Ads cause wet pants
A SERIES of terrifying adverts for a horror film has been banned – after the promos made kiddies wet their little pants.
Three ten-second ads for the horror flick were originally sanctioned to be shown after 7.30pm.
However, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) launched an investigation after 29 complaints about the ads which featured quickly changing scenes shot in the style of video-camera footage. It’s believed parents were concerned their little ones would become incontinent through fear.
A total of 29 viewers challenged whether the ads were likely to cause distress to children and adults.
Nine reported that their children, aged between 10 and 16, had been upset by the ads, and 11 reported personal distress.
