Cuff justice for murder suspect
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a court when a man accused of murder became accidentally handcuffed to a guard.
Wayne Cattell, 36, was appearing at Oxford Crown Court alongside co-defendant Daniel Mccollin accused of murdering a homeless man.
But the judge was kept waiting when security officers failed to find the keys to unlock the restraints.
The fire service had to be called to the cells to free the trapped prisoner using bolt cutters.
Barristers suppressed laughter in court as the situation was outlined to Judge Anthony King.
The case was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
