Baggies fight to keep Ben

Midweek Sport - - THURSDAY MARCH 15 -

WEST BROM goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely admits Ben Foster’s Hawthorns future is out of their hands.

Foster, on loan from Birmingham, has starred for the Baggies but is due to return in the summer.

Manager Roy Hodgson wants to sign Foster permanently but can’t stop the Blues hanging onto him if they go up.

“People all say to me, ‘make sure we sign Ben Foster’,” said Kiely.

“I would love him to be our goalkeeper for the next three or four years.

“But he’s a Birmingham player and his future will be decided by factors that are out of our control.”
